Quipu is seeking a highly motivated professional to join our team as a full-time Public Affairs and Financial Sector Senior Specialist.
Role and Responsibilities
• Provide advice and operational support for clients’ stakeholder engagement and client relationship management, with a particular focus on financial institutions and fintech companies.
• Produce reports and other written deliverables, including policy briefs, memorandums, and slide presentations, tailored to the financial sector.
• Deliver presentations to clients and different audiences, emphasizing insights relevant to financial markets and regulations.
• Undertake advanced policy and regulatory research, including topics specific to financial services and fintech.
• Assess risk and impact of policy and regulatory reforms on financial institutions and fintech businesses.
• Build and manage advocacy coalitions and public-private partnership initiatives.
• Manage and supervise interdisciplinary work across financial policy and regulatory issues.
• Maintain relationships with existing stakeholders and cultivate new networks in the financial ecosystem.
• Support Quipu’s program development with a focus on financial sector innovation and regulation.
• Collaborate with teams across the organization to support Quipu’s vision and mission.
Essential Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in international relations, political science, sociology, journalism, public policy, law, economics, or another relevant field.
• At least 7-10 years of relevant professional experience, including substantial exposure to the financial sector or fintech.
• Proven experience in the financial or fintech sector, showcasing a solid understanding of its regulatory landscape and evolving dynamics.
• Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills in both Spanish and English.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and teamwork skills.
• Ability to interact with senior-level business executives and high-ranking government officials in the financial sector.
• Broad understanding of international business, politics, public policies, and financial systems.
• Understanding of Latin America’s political, business, institutional, and economic dynamics, particularly in financial services.
• Excellent attention to detail and the ability to follow specific tasks through to completion.
• Creative problem-solving skills.
• Capacity to work independently, with excellent time management and organizational skills.
• Ability to manage multiple work assignments under time pressure and strict deadlines.
• Advanced research skills, particularly in financial policy and regulation.
• Fully bilingual in English and Spanish.
• Flexibility and eagerness to learn, contribute, and grow.
• Preferred location: City of Buenos Aires, Argentina.
