The Research Analyst will work with members of the Value Creation team at a global private equity firm. They will support the team in various due diligence-focused roles, with exposure to the team's value creation practices throughout their career.
This position will prioritize the opportunity to collaborate extensively with the team in a dynamic, global work environment. The Research Analyst will learn and apply key skills in (1) due diligence of potential investments (market sizing/modeling, competitive landscape assessment, voice of the customer, etc.) and (2) portfolio company value creation (including, but not limited to, digital marketing, pricing, etc.).
This position will focus approximately 80% on market due diligence skills and approximately 20% on supporting value creation (focus area to be determined upon onboarding).
Key skills & responsibilities include:
Review market research reports and company information to rapidly evaluate market landscape and competitive positioning, across a range of industries/regions
Perform analysis of internal and external data sources (e.g., market data, survey data) and synthesize key findings into client-ready work products (typically PPT)
Support analysis of macro-level themes of interest across client focus areas, and grow proprietary thematic knowledge base (e.g., “thematic primer” library)
Assist with formation and execution of client’s key practice development initiatives (e.g., benchmarking exercises, other weekly recurrent projects
Portfolio Value Creation (Digital marketing, Pricing)
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree (Economics, Finance, Business Admin., International Relations, and/or Computer Science)
Excellent command of both spoken & written English
Excellent command of Microsoft Excel
Previous exposure to other Microsoft Suite (PowerPoint, Word)
Proficiency in coding languages like Python is a plus.
