Your role:
A new vacancy has opened to join an experienced and small team of senior executives as an Engineering Insurance Support.This enterprise manages large clients, placing complex risks and trading predominantly direct insurance and facultative reinsurance. This person will become part of the Client Management team supporting the Commercial Director.
The main tasks and responsibilities: understanding the needs of our clients, preparing underwriting submissions, reviewing policy documentation, approaching the insurance and reinsurance market, negotiating with underwriters, releasing terms to clients. Part of the role is assisting the MD in supporting the sales development activity and in analysing and preparing claims data.
Your profile:
We are looking for a client account handler or technical underwriter with experience in corporate insurance in the field of project insurance. Our ideal candidate will bring at least 5 years of experience in similar roles and will be highly analytical with excellent organisation skills. You must be diligent and meticulous in your approach, understanding the importance of attention to detail. You should also be a team player who is happy to go to the extra mile for clients and colleagues alike.
Fluent in English is essential and other language is desirable e.g. Spanish or German. We are looking at preferably an engineering qualification however we may consider experience over qualifications. You will have knowledge and understanding of project management having worked either in a construction company or for an insurance company in a risk engineering department.
