Descripción del puesto

About Our Firm
Capria Ventures is a Global South specialist venture capital firm investing in applied Generative AI, connecting founders into a uniquely collaborative network. Capria activates strong relationships between hundreds of founders and leading local VC firms in the tech hubs of the Global South – from São Paulo to Lagos to Bangalore to Jakarta. Capria brings state-of-the-art venture capital innovation combined with global best practices of sustainable ESG management to select and manage its portfolio of startups serving the fastest-growing economies of the world. Capria manages funds with assets exceeding USD 190M. Capria has offices in Seattle, Bangalore, Nairobi, Mexico City, Buenos Aires, and Washington DC.

About The Role
Capria is seeking a highly entrepreneurial and self-directed professional to lead operations, working closely with the CFO and Managing Partners, for our global team. This is a senior, cross-functional role with broad ownership across business operations, technology systems, regulatory compliance, and fund administration. The role serves as the firm’s primary operations lead – responsible for day-to-day execution, continuous systems improvement, and carrying out Capria’s RIA compliance program in partnership with firm leadership.

A core part of this role is building and running a disciplined, AI-augmented operations function – leveraging tools like Claude, Gemini, Slack, Asana, Make.com, and Tableau, among others, to drive efficiency and insight across the organization. The ideal candidate thrives in fast-paced, ambiguous environments, is deeply organized, and brings both operational rigor and strategic curiosity to their work. Experience in a startup or venture capital context is essential.

Develop and maintain SOPs, file organization standards, and data governance practices.

Fund Operations Support

Support fund launches, including co-investment SPVs and flagship fund closings – assisting with legal entity setup, investor onboarding, subscription document management, and ongoing fund administration.
Maintain organized records of fund documents, LP communications, and operational procedures.
Operations Administrator Supervision

Directly supervise the Operations Administrator, delegating and overseeing execution of administrative tasks including scheduling, data entry, user administration, and technical support.
Provide coaching, clear task direction, and quality review to ensure consistent execution.
Cybersecurity & Business Continuity

Monitor cybersecurity, maintain policies, and suggest improvements to systems to safeguard firm and fund data.
Maintain business continuity plans; adapt to evolving cybersecurity risks and ensure continuity across geographies and roles.
Lead incident response procedures in the event of a security issue.
RIA Compliance Program

Own the administration of Capria’s SEC-registered investment adviser (RIA) compliance program, serving as the primary operational lead in coordination with the CFO and outside legal counsel.
Administer the firm’s Code of Ethics, personal trading policy, and outside business activity review process – including tracking submissions, following up on late filings, and maintaining records.
Manage AML and KYC compliance processes for investor onboarding across all fund entities; conduct and document investor screening and risk assessments.
Track and manage regulatory filings, trademark registrations, background checks, and other compliance priorities across all Capria entities.
Monitor for regulatory developments affecting the firm and flag material issues to leadership.
