Job Purpose:
As a Controller, you will serve as the financial backbone of our operations, overseeing all internal accounting responsibilities to ensure our company's financial health and compliance. Your role is pivotal not only in maintaining fiscal order but also in spearheading our expansion into a new venture—launching a suite of accounting services specifically designed for SMBs, scheduled for an early next-year release. In collaboration with the CEO, you will play a key role in developing this new product line from the ground up, shaping service offerings, and establishing operational processes. Your strategic input will guide the formation of a dedicated team to support this initiative, positioning you as the prospective leader of a new business division within our firm.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee all accounting operations, including Billing, A/R, A/P, GL, Cost Accounting, Inventory Accounting, and Revenue Recognition.
Coordinate and direct the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts, report variances, and prepare financial statements.
Manage and comply with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings.
Develop business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls.
Additional duties include the development of a new accounting service offering that encompasses payroll, tax preparation, and bookkeeping for SMBs.
Collaborate closely with the CEO to strategize on the growth trajectory and implement scalable financial systems.
Skills and Qualifications:
A minimum of 5 years of accounting experience, preferably within a company that provides services to the USA or US companies with back-office in Argentina.
Proven experience in managing and leading accounting teams.
Extensive knowledge of USGAAP standards.
Experience in tax preparation for SMBs in the United States.
Strong reliability and attention to detail.
Proficiency in bilingual communication to cater to a diverse client base.
Exceptional organizational skills and phone etiquette.
Self-starter with an entrepreneurial spirit and a comfort level in a fast-paced startup environment.
A strong desire to grow with the company and contribute to shaping its future.
A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. CPA or other relevant certifications are a plus.
